The accompanying text reads: It is called so by reason you imitate the Leaping of Goats in the motion of the Feet. To perform it you must have both courage and strength... This is one of the most difficult but most ingenious pieces of Art belonging to Swimming, and when you are arrived at it, you may say you have master'd one of the most difficult points in the whole Art.
