Princes Street from the East (c1920)
Description
A tram travels down Princes Street past the landscaped garden above Waverley Market. There is a horse and cart heading eastwards and many people walking on either side of the street. The tower of the Scott Monument stands at the edge of Princes Street Gardens. In the distance are the tall tenements of Edinburgh's Old Town, and Edinburgh Castle on its rocky summit.
