Panoramas of Edinburgh
Edinburgh has an inspiring skyline that features the outline of many historic buildings including Edinburgh Castle, St Giles Cathedral and Old Town tenements. Monuments add to the characteristic vista, Duguld Scott and the unfinished National Monuments appear in many views. The natural boundaries of Arthur's Seat, Salisbury Crags, Calton Hill and the Pentland Hills give panoramas of the City an extra dramatic dimension.

This unique skyline has been drawn, painted and photographed over the centuries from every perspective from distant Fife or from closer vantage points on Calton Hill and the New Town. In this exhibition there is a selection of images of these spectacular views.
