The accompanying text in the volume reads:
"155 Sir George Warrender's Avenue".
Sir George Warrender lived in the sixteenth century Bruntsfield House on Whitehouse Loan. The Loan was the original access road to the Brunsfield Estate which was developed for housing in 1869 by Sir George Warrender.
