Title
Edinburgh from the Calton Hill
Description
From a viewpoint on Calton Hill the central areas of the city of Edinburgh can be seen. Of the numerous landmarks the most prominent are the Dugald Stewart Monument, Calton Gaol, Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, St Giles Cathedral, the Scott Monument, the spires of the Tron and Highland Tolbooth Kirks, and the domed roofs of Register House and West Register House. On Calton Hill people take walks and also rest on benches high above the buildings and monuments of the cityscape.
