View of a hilly and tree-covered landscape following the banks of Loch Ness. A small road is visible to the left of the scene, and travels across a stone bridge and into the distant hills. Two men are just visible, standing on the road, admiring the wild scenery.

The road depicted on the left of the picture was built by General Wade in 1732 and follows the east bank of Loch Ness. According to Skene this view is set near the General's hut near the Fall of Foyers at the site of the Foyers Hotel. Wade used these huts when he was supervising the building of his roads. These were temporary structures which no longer exist.
