Lawnmarket -showing 91 year old Tom Gilzean collecting for the Sick Kids Hospital
Looking down from Castlehill, the tall buildings of the Royal Mile and West Bow can be seen. The road is partially cobbled and a roundabout is marked at the junction. The St Columba's-by the-Castle Church is on the right at the start of Johnston Terrace. The fencing marks off part of the entrance to the Hub, a venue owned by the Edinburgh International Festival. A sign on the railing reads 'no parking'.
A man stands on Castlehill collecting for charity. He wears a kilt, bobble hat and beige jacket, and holds a red collection tin. He holds a walking stick. There are many pedestrians walking along the pavements of the Lawnmarket. The visible vehicles on the road include a lorry and a taxi. Tourist shops selling Scottish themed goods can be seen.
