'One degree above freezing inside the sitooterie!
Yesterday there was a baby magpie in the garden for hours ... It had a damaged right foot and a bad limp ... It drank a lot of water ... ate a few raisins, fat bits and brioche ... spent much of the time dozing in the sun ...'
