Description
To our great surprise & joy on Sunday night a lot of the Transport appeared - all "our lot", who had been with us at Boul-boul-mic. We were so glad to see them again. & all safe & well too. They all thought we had been taken prisoners & were in a great state till they got the news, that we were safe & sound here. They are to work in conjunction with us - to bring in the wounded to our hospital & to "evacuate" the men when they are fit to move on. We got all the news of the Unit from them. Dr. Inglis is at Braila - they have a big hospital for the Rumanians there - glad I'm not with them! A few of the girls are at Galatz looking after the stores; we hear our kit bags are all intact & safe at Galatz! How I long for a rummage in mine & first & foremost a change of "undies"! The "Buffs" are charmed with our hospital; it really is a nice little place, so sunny & bright & the men are all so happy & so grateful. We have discovered a café here - a jolly nice one too - a welcome change from our Tommies' rations -we live on stew & black bread - stew every blessed day!
