Description
There is a talk of Grant & I being sent up to Galatz to get some hospital stores & if so, we will probably go tomorrow. It will take us a day & night probably. "Duty" calls - I must away back to the Hospital, so no more for the present.

Nov 10th 1917[6]. Galatz Rumania

Since writing you last, I have been out on the "razzle-dazzle". On hearing that Dr. Inglis was near Galatz & that our stores were there, Dr. Chesney thought it adviseable to get in touch with the Unit & also to get "hold of" some medical stores for our hospital here, so Grant, Rendel & I were sent on that little jaunt. We left Ismail on Tuesday morning (7th) & got a steamer which took us in the end to Galatz, but by a somewhat round about way. Travelling in these parts just now is somewhat precarious & no easy matter. We went right down the river to Tultcha - where we took on a lot of cargo - & from there we sailed right up the Danube to Reni, such a beautiful sail, through lovely scenery. Tultcha over-looks the Danube marshes at the wide mouth
