Description
models of Swedish peasant houses, Swedish costumes & native dresses & old armour & guns & war trophies. Beyond this big museum is The Skansen - an open air "Zoo". The grounds are beautiful & everywhere dotted about little wooden cottages & women in native costumes. Everyone in Stockholm looks so happy, everywhere are sunny faces & high spirits & sprightly chatter - what it is, not to be at war! Of course the Swedes are decidedly pro-German - undoubtedly their sympathies are with the Boche - that one sees most plainly.
This is a most comfie Hotel & we are revelling in the numerous comforts, hot baths, comfie beds & no lack of food! Bread tickets are to the fore, but as a "safeguard", not an necessity, as there seems to be heaps of food in the country.
We leave for Christiania at 9 o'cl: to-night & should arrive there at mid-day to-morrow. I'll write again from there./

13th March "Grand Hospils"
Christiania.
We arrived here this morning. We crossed the Frontier
into Norway about 9 o'clock - the country we passed through
