Description
old place, there are some fine old churches & a fascinating market. We went up to the top of the fire-station tower & had a topping view of the surrounding country. We move on again in ½ an hour. There is talk of a despatch-rider going through to Headquarters from here, so we may have a chance of sending letters. I'll finish this off & send it in the hopes of your receiving it. I've been worrying dreadfully about not being able to let you know anything - all I hope is, that Dr. Inglis has cabled home to H.O. & that they have informed you we are all right. Only the unfortunate thing is, Dr. Inglis can't have the remotest idea where we are - we seem apparently to be "lost" & cut off from the Unit, just the "Nine" - all on our ownie-oh! This is "some" life! But I wouldn't have missed it all for anything - it's such an interesting experience & in time we'll forget all the nasty parts! I wonder where my next letter will be written! Some unheard of spot in the depths of Bessarabia I've no doubt - well - adieu for the present.
