This 'Grand Golf Tournament by Professional Players' took place on Leith Links, 17th May 1867.
This first national golf match took place under the auspices of the Thistle Golf Club, and the above group of players are presumably gathered on the steps of the Thistle club-house at 8 Vanburgh Place.
