This yard was a popular play area for children. Pictured second right is Alec Pae, (cousin of Lawrence Pae, another former resident of Greenside).

Simpson's Court was built between 1804-9 by Robert Simpson and was demolished in the early 1960's as part of Edinburgh's slum clearances.
