Description
A fox sits beside a mask with one paw on its hair. A curtain screens off a starry sky, panpipes and two further masks hang from it, and the masks look down at the scene. To the left of the fox stand two empty boots - and a wreath, pipes and a decorated staff lie in the foreground. The rhyme reads:
"The Fox and the Mask

A fox with his foot on a mask,
Thus took the fair semblance to task;
"You're a real handsome face;
But what part of your case
Are your brains in, good sir! Let me ask?"

Masks are the faces of shams."
