Sir William Wallace
Description
The portrait shows William Wallace in full regalia. He wears chainmail armour visible at the neck, with plate armour on his arms. Most distinctive is his helmet, which features large, elaborate feathers extending upward from the top. He has a full, dark beard and direct, steady gaze. He also wears what appears to be a sash or baldric across one side of his chest, and possibly a tartan sash across the other side.
