Robert Burns is depicted in James Sibbald's library in Edinburgh with some of the literary figures of the day including a young Walter Scott. From left to right, the people in the library are: Dr Blair, Henry MacKenzie, Burns, Alex. Nasmyth, David Allan, Abysinnian, Bruce, Lord Monboddo, Miss Burnett, Sibbald, Dr Ferguson and Walter Scott.
