Excerpt from page - "St Bernards [sic] 1796 - To be let the villa of Saint Bernards situated on the banks of the Water of Leith within ten minutes walk of the new town of Edinburgh. The house is large and commodious besides the grass ground shrubbery and kitchen garden, the tenant will have the use of a greenhouse, summerhouse and fine mineral well......" Edinburgh Evening Courant Feb 1796.
