Deep Time, the Standard Life opening event for the 2016 Edinburgh International Festival took place on Sunday 7th August and was attended by an estimated 27,000 people. The performance combined animation, lighting and music to delve deep into 350 million years of Edinburgh's history. The event was choreographed to a soundtrack by Mogwai and produced by 59 productions.
