Loch Coruisk is a freshwater loch which is found at the base of the Black Cuillin, a mountain range on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. The lake has been an inspiration for many famous people; the likes of Tennyson, Scott, Turner, Boswell and Johnson have all visited the lake. In 1959, a Hut named the Loch Coruisk Memorial Hut was built to commemorate the loss of two young men who lost their lives whilst climbing Ben Nevis. The hut is used and maintained to this day by the Junior Mountaineering Club of Scotland.
