Description

On blue silk banner for the Edinburgh United Branch of Associated Carpenters and Joiners of Scotland. The banner has a yellow fringe along four sides, there are two small gold tassels at the bottom two corners. The banner is inscribed, 'EDINBURGH UNITED BRANCH OF THE ASSOCIATED CARPENTERS AND JOINERS OF SCOTLAND'.

At some point the banner said Edinburgh Branch, United was written over Branch, and Branch was written below.

Carpenters: Edinburgh United Branch of the Associated Carpenters and Joiners of Scotland amalgamated with Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners. Since April 1869, the "Edinburgh Branch" was called "Edinburgh (Central) Branch".
