Description
Count William Hohenzollern & his Myrmidons! The Thousand British men-of-war relieved the inglorious & humbled German warships off the Firth of Forth & in the near future they are to be escorted to Scapa Flow, there to remain, until the Allies determine their fate. "Der Jag" has arrived for the Mighty German Fleet!

Dec:15th Imtarfa Hosp: Malta.
No use keeping a diary - when nothing happens! Still in bed & still hoping for that hospital ship "to take me back to Blighty"! Each day & each long night is the same, bu6 the time just goes
along somehow! Had letters fr. different members of the Unit, written en route for Herzigovina. They have been sent to Sarajevo & are going round by sea. The weather is glorious here, such brilliant sunshine all day long & cool, fresh nights & being out on the verandah, I get full benefit of it all. Xmas in a week!

Dec:25th Imtarfa Hosp: Malta.
Well, Xmas is here & so am I!! Little did I think that my first "peace Yuletide" would be spent on the Island of Malta & more surprising still, that it should be spent in bed!!
We had our Xmas "tea" yesterday, followed by a Xmas it was all v. nice. Then late in the evening, a number of the patients & staff - led by the C.O. - went around the different buildings singing carols, they carried lanterns & looked most picturesque.
