Cream twill weave linen banner with wool border and fringe and a painted design on each side in mirror image. Title scroll, LEITH PAINTERS
ASSOCIATION. Motto on scroll, AMOR ET BEDIENTIA. Instituted March 1876.Central design, Coat of Arms of Leith and the Painters' Coat of Arms. As a crest, a phoenix in flames. The supporters are lions with gold crowns, collars and chains.
