On September 11 1997, a Referendum was held for a Scottish Parliament. In the Referendum people had two votes:
1. I agree/do not agree that there should be a Scottish Parliament
2. I agree/do not agree that a Scottish Parliament should have tax-varying powers.
The banner was made at the foot of the mound on a Saturday morning in early September 1997. Scotland Forward had a stall and asked people to sign the banner to indicate their support for a Scottish Parliament.
This banner was later displayed above the Central Constituency Labour Party Campaign Shop, during September 1997, in
the lead up to the Referendum for the Scottish
Parliament.
