The Tolbooth of Leith was pulled down in 1824.
Insert details the Coat of Arms carved into the building. The Coat of Arms is dated 1565.
Leith is situated in the north of Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth. At first a town in its own right dating back to the 12th Century it was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920. With it's ongoing maritime connections it continues to be one of the UK's busiest ports.
