This press cutting shows a bombed tenement at Marshall Street. Edinburgh's only air raid during World War One took place on April 2nd 1916, a Sunday. The Zeppelin raid passed over much of Edinburgh and Leith, with reported damage occurring at George Watson's College, Hadden Court, Lauriston Place, the Grassmarket and most significantly, Marshall Street where lives were lost.
