Title
The Paris Children's First Communion and the Cologne Procession
Description
"Sweet Jesus, do ask the Pope to protect our procession as well."

"This cartoon is a somewhat severe commentary upon the Pope's impartiality. When His Holiness, on behalf of the German Empire, asked the Allies that the Cologne procession on Corpus Christi Day of 1918 might be held without interruption by enemy aircraft, the pledge was given and carried out. Such an act meant nothing to the Germans, dead to all sense of reciprocal chivalry or consideration, as may be seen from the next cartoon but one."
