Two metal shaped badges that were worn by members of the ARP during the Second World War. The badge on the left has the initials A.R.P in gold writing on a blue background. Above the writing is an engraving of a gold crown. The second badge is larger and has an oval shape frame. This is a dark red colour with a silver border. The silver coloured lettering at the bottom reads 'civil defence'. At the top it reads L.A.R.P with a break in the middle and an engraving of a silver crown. A horizontal strip in the middle contains the words 'instructor' in blue.
