Postman Pat is an animated children's television series that was produced by Woodland animations. The series was first screened on BBC1 in 1981. The series featured the main characters of postman Pat and his black and white cat, Jess. The series was set in the fictional village of Greendale which was inspired by the village of Longsleddale in Cumbria. The new version of the series was reanimated and aired in 2004.
