Title
The Last Dance with Her Lover and Accomplice
Description
"The most terribly dramatic of all the earlier Raemaeker Cartoons was admittedly, "The Tango," in which Germania swooned in the embrace of the skeleton Death as he compelled her to a furious and unending dance. The artist has here shown the closing scene where, seduced and ruined by the Apache "Militarism", she lies in the throes of death in a gutter of the country she had been promised as her reward."
