Gladstone Court in the Canongate was named after Willam Ewart Gladstone, Leader of the Liberal Party and nineteenth century Prime Minister. It had previously been known as Bowling Green Close and Magdalene Entry.
Freddy Theys is a Belgian engraver of town scenes, botanics and portraits. He visits Scotland annually.
