Description
The wooden chalets of the Christmas Festival stand in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh. The chalets are decorated with lights and Christmas decorations. Many people are looking at the stalls or walking by. At the end of the walkway stands a statue of a man on a tall plinth. Behind it is a large white bungee jumping dome, a Ferris wheel and the Scott Monument.

Princes Street Gardens were established on the site of the Nor' Loch which was drained during the C18. The park was originally for the exclusive use of the residents of Princes Street, but was opened to the public in 1876. The gardens contain various statues of notable figures, as well as the Ross fountain and bandstand and the famous floral clock.
