A page from a World War One scrapbook (vol 1) showing press cuttings relating to the Royal Family: the King experiencing a horse riding accident whilst in France and the published proclamation of the adoption of the House of Windsor to replace the Germanic Saxe-Coburg-Gotha:

'By the King - A Proclamation declaring that the name Windsor is to be borne by His Royal House and Family, and relinquishing the use of all German titles and dignities.'
