Title
View of the grand procession to the castle, when his majesty had ascended the Half Moon Battery; 22nd August 1822
Description
Soldiers parade up the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle. The scene is awash with the colour of uniforms and flags as the men troop in their marching order. Cavalry hold back the crowds of people watching the procession. Along the Esplanade there is covered terraced seating which extends to the start of the Castle battlements. A large flag flies from the Half Moon Battery.
