Description
A girl in early 19th century dress lies asleep on some grass filled with daisies. Behind her, stand a line of bulrushes, trees, a bridge and a house. A path leads from the bridge into the distance. The girl wears her shoes and bonnet still, her dress is long, loose and pleated.
In the second part of the page is the music - a melody line plus piano accompaniment - for the seventh piece, Tired. The words are as follows:
'Oh, I'm so sleepy, I'll lie down to rest
Here in the sun;
Soon will he go to his bed in the west,
Day will be done.
Oh, I'm so sleepy!...'
