Description
The view along Princes Street of George VI, state entry into Edinburgh on 5th July 1937. The road is bounded by Princes Street Gardens on the left and shops including the Balmoral Restaurant on the right. Both sides of the street have large pendant banners decorated with coats of arms. Crowds of people line the street and the buildings that overlook it. A procession of horses and carriages are making their way towards the Mound. In the background the spires of many of Edinburgh's churches can be seen.
