Edinburgh, 1775, silver. Repousse chased oval plaque with rolled edge and laurel border depicting the launch of a Royal Navy warship, inscribed 'A donation from John Sime & Robert Drybrough ship builders in North Leith to the Society of Carpenters which Society may God Prossper (sic) 1776, 'perimeter with small holes approximately 2.3 cm (7/8 in.) apart plus another later hole for mounting. 16.6 x 11.8 cm(6 1/4 x 4 5/8 in.). Weight 182.06 grams (5.9 troy oz.).
