The accompanying text in the volume reads:
"69. Corner of St Andrews Street and Princes Street. Demolished 1906, this site being occupied by the new building erected by Forsyth Co. The corner tenement was the Douglas Hotel. The tenement next to it consisting of steel floor and two stories was the last remaining in this part of Princes Street in its original form."
