Sandiland's [Sandilands] Close - now demolished and site occupied by Mission Hall in High Street
Description
A tenement building joins a section of old housing in the Old Town in Edinburgh. The narrow alley between the houses continues through a semi-arch beneath the central building. The flats have small windows and there is washing drying outside one of them. There is a sign high above the archway which reads, 'Mitchell - Carver and Gilder', advertising a decorative craftsman or frame-maker.
