Description
Three seemly unrelated images are mounted on the same sheet. At the top is a photograph of two men in straw boaters sitting on a wall enjoying the sun. The wall overlooks the sea, behind which a town can be seen including a square towered church. A hill fills the background. In the centre is an engraving of two women; one of European origin in Regency clothes and the other of African origins. The shape of the women's hair and clothing resembles each other. The African woman has a baby on her back. Under the drawn an inscription reads "Not so very different after all". The third image is a photograph of a boy selling mussels from a basket on the beach. He is wearing a cap, short ragged trousers and has bare feet. He is leaning on a rocky outcrop.
