Advocate's Close, Edinburgh

Carved stone inscriptions are visible over many of Old Town's doorways. They often contain biblical references. These particular exampels from Advocate's Close date from the 16th Century and commemorate the building's owner, Clement Corr and his wife Helen Bellenden.
