Title
National Fire Service at damage site, London Blitz
Description
Fire fighters from the National Fire Service (NFS) attend a damaged site during the Second World War, presumably after a bomb has been dropped. The ground is strewn with debris, including planks of wood and bricks. Some smoke is still visible. One fireman controls a hose pipe which is spouting water. Two more firemen are down a trench and appear to be lifting something. The fire fighters wear tin helmets. Other people can be seen in the background.
