Title
Corridor, Abercairny
Description
Light floods in from a stained glass window at Abercairny House, Perthshire, illuminating a long corridor. The corridor has a Gothic vaulted ceiling and windows surrounded by wooden panelling running down its right-hand side. A carpet runner is placed in the middle of the corridor separating the lines of console tables and pedestals that line each side. The tables and pedestals display a range of marble and bronze statutes of Classical subjects including busts and figurines. Many of the Rococo style tables have cherubs and figures on them. At the head of the room something resembling a font stands.
