The song sheet illustration has the title "The Lady of Lorne" across the top with "Scottish Quadrille for the pianoforte by Alister McAlister" along the bottom. The main focal point of the illustration contains a portrait of Princess Louise, the daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Princess Louise was born in 1848 as the sixth child. She married John Marques of Lorne in 1971 and died in 1939. The portrait is balanced with two smaller framed landscape scenes depicting the royal residences of Windsor and Balmoral castle. These pictures are joined together with a coat of arms containing the words 'Dieu et mon Drois' at the bottom. The entire illustration is held together with a wreath of tartan, thistles and flowers.
