Title
p. 44, House of Robert Louis Stevenson in Sandwich Islands
Description
Robert Louis Stevenson and his family are seated around a big table at his house in the Sandwich Islands. Stevenson is sitting in the foreground with his feet resting on another chair. He is writing and has a paper and pen resting on his leg. To his left Lloyd Osbourne is leaning on the table with his sister Bella Strong looking down on him. Fanny Stevenson also is leaning on the table with her hand supporting her head. Margaret Stevenson is sewing a large patterned cloth that is spilling across her knee and over the floor. A man can be seen standing on the veranda in the background. Windows covered with shutters have a creeping plant growing all over them.

The image is from the photograph album entitled 'The Cruise of the Casco' of Robert Louis Stevenson's travels around Hawaii and French Polynesia in 1888.
