Bonnington Toll House
Description
A boy and a girl stand in the doorway of the building that once was the Bonnington toll-house in Edinburgh. The whitewashed building's window shutters are open, it has a tall chimney and above where the children are standing, there is a lamp. On the pavement between the road and the houses there are two men talking.

Bonnington is a small area of Edinburgh. It is situated in the north-east of the city, immediately to the south-west of Leith. Bonnington had a long-standing association with flour milling, continuing into the 20th century.
