A street scene set in Blythe's Close, Edinburgh, showing the Oratory of Mary of Guise. People are talking in the narrow road. A priest stands in a building by a panelled door and above a carved inscription, both of which are shown in more detail in the insets below. On the door there are heraldic shields and depictions of Mary of Guise and James V.
