In 1844, Hill and Adamson were at York Museum to record the scientists during the meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. Dr James Inglis (1813-1851) was a specialist in treating goitre and author of 'A Treatise on the English Bronchocele, giving the Principal Localities of the Disease and its Apparent Causes, with Remarks on the Use of Iodine' (1838).
