Leith, St.Mary's Parish Church and Churchyard
Description
St.Mary's Parish Church, Leith, Edinburgh surrounded by a graveyard. The church has a large decorative intersecting window plus several smaller windows.There are small spires on the main building. A large tower with crenellated battlements rises above the roof of the kirk. The tower has a pagoda style roof with a weathervane on the top. Smoke can be seen from the chimney stacks from other buildings. In the graveyard there are gravestones and gravediggers are preparing two graves.

Leith is situated in the north of Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth. At first a town in its own right dating back to the 12th Century it was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920. With it's ongoing maritime connections it continues to be one of the UK's busiest ports.
