Statue of Hygeia, St Bernard's Well
A statue of a woman, the goddess Hygeia is surrounded by an exterior structure of columns which is supported by scaffolding. The figure wears Grecian style dress and a headdress in her hair. In her right hand she holds an offering cup and she balances an upturned vase on top of a small pillar with her left. A snake's head can be seen reaching up to the vase. Trees and shrubbery are in the background along the Water of Leith.
